That's what they call London Style
Celebrating the New Year London Style. Having stood in the cold for nearly 3 hours we had an excellent spot right opposite the London Eye on the banks of the Thames for the fireworks. Seems crazy to stand and queue for such a long time but the atmosphere is great and it was the best display I have ever seen!
Walked back through the city, led like cattle through the maze of streets which allows people to be evenly distributed to tube stations and bus stops. Its all very well organised! Arrived back at my friend's house where the boys started on their homemade ale whilst the girls stuck with the wine. I don't remember alot of the evening but I definitely laughed alot and all too soon it was time to leave :(
Got a train straight to the Hawthorns with Wynni for 2pm. Pretty sure I didn't sleep at all last night so it was a struggle on the journey back to stay awake but the nervous atmosphere at the match soon woke me up. Scrappy 1-0 against Newcastle. Very much needed three points and a much better performance :)
Came home for a pub tea with Emily and Ness to hear about their New Years as neither of them were up for the manic trip to London. All feeling worse for wear we decided to call it an early night to come back to mine for SHERLOCK and hot chocolate.
I'm never really one for New Years resolutions. As a true cynic I don't believe it is possible to change your personality/behaviours/feelings over night. And I really hate failing and setting targets which aren't achievable. However I do have a really good feeling about 2014. In total need of change, challenge and motivation, I am ready to face anything 2014 wants to throw at me.
