Evening view from the top of Greenwich hill

This view has changed much since I was younger, let alone how much it has changed since the observatory was built.

Today was very overcast with gusting wind and rain. We scuttled down to the Maritime Museum to see the Turner exhibition, which was without doubt, the best way to spend the first rainy day of the year.

I was torn with doubt about the choice of this picture over one of the beautiful E2 - Jack Holt's No.2 Enterprise dinghy on display in the museum which brought back many happy memories of sailing in the river Orwell in my schooldays.
