Ne'er Day Madness

What I thought would be a quiet 1st Jan cycle to Portobello and back was livelier than I'd expected. At Portobello this morning were: a hundred or so runners taking part in a 'promathon' (that is I think the word another Blipper used); a hundred or so dog-walkers and their large-to-small pets of varying degrees of friendliness; hundreds of children on wheels - Christmas bikes, scooters, wheelie shoes....; hundreds of strollers (as in people strolling).

Plus a group of loony dookers, a crew of rowers, an accordion player and a man looking as though he thought he might once have been a Russian playwright.
