Going places ...

New year, new passport. First trip of 2014 is a train ride to Victoria and an appointment at the Passport Office for a fast track renewal. In at 10.15 am, out at 10.32 am, then four pleasant hours passed in sunny London before returning at 2.30 pm to collect a crisp new little red travel book.

Love the archaic language: "... requests and requires in the name of Her Majesty all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer to pass freely without let or hindrance ..."

Checked the map beforehand to check where to go, but there was no need. Just follow the idiot-proof navy blue line on the floor of Victoria train station ...

Strange, I always thought a passport was for exactly 10 years, but this new one lasts until March 2024 ...
