Northward-bound

Early start for the train, but not too painful given a sensible early night.

After collecting the car in Newcastle, we stopped off at Alnwick for a bright and not very breezy stroll around the free bits of the Gardens (here's where we had our picnic) then off to Edinburgh to see the Senior Bs before heading over to Fife to see if our house has survived the weather.

I'll gloss over not being spoken to for the first 15 minutes of our visit as they were watching a war movie they've seen before... See how I glossed right over that? It's the wine talking...

Am grabbing a quick bit of wifi - next blip probably from Manchester on Saturday (for those who worry for my safety/sanity when I miss a day!)
