Blessed are the poor in spirit

I am by no means poor, I am blessed in many ways, I have a loving family, jobs that thrill and inspire me, friends who enrich my life, support and challenge, a home that is warm and spacious and full of love.

Today's study talked about holding it lightly, it is a gift from God and I want it to be used by God so I surrender it all. Today's study reminded me that Jesus gave up His place in Heaven for a place in a stable, a life that would bring me closer to Him.


Help me to live with open hands in the poverty of your kingdom.
