Well, here we are home again, and have bought Ella & Harry with us for a week.

This is the flower of the Pohutukawa Tree, beautiful isn't it. Janelle has a tree growing in her garden, so thought best to to take a few quick shots this morning before we left. These trees are blooming all over the Wellington area and look stunning. Here is a very damp one I blipped a couple of days ago.

The weather in Wellington today was horrendous - rain lashing and gale force winds. We did wonder if our little (19 seater) plane would take off but its a stoic little plane. Very bumpy as we took off into the gloom, the landing at Timaru airport was worse. We swirled, swerved and bumped our way onto terra firma. The temperature outside a warm 26 deg, the norwester howling.

Late getting the kids to bed tonight - note to self, I must do better tomorrow night.
Hence the late loading of my blip tonight.
