The calm after the storm

Well, thankfully I made it to Troon without any problems.

Gill and I went down to the beach in the afternoon, when there was a glimmer of blue sky and a very high tide.

Having suffered badly from yesterday's storms, the beach was covered in debris of all sorts and the dunes appeared to have been uprooted by the force of the breakers.

Further along the beach towards the town there was evidence of an effort to clear some of the detritus from the sand.

The Isle of Arran could be seen across the water when I took my blip, but by the time we were returning from our walk the mist had descended and the rain was on again.
