Capable

I spent a portion of today, though believing it all the time, in awe and amazement at Agnes. She is a quiet and calm one initially, only to be one of the most lively and energetic laughs once she is used to you. She's 10 years old and has more 'street knowledge' and common sense than many people twice her age. The girl can hold her niece, who she's responsible for the majority of the day, and wash poopy wraps at the same time -- I know no American 10 year old who would do such (or at least I wouldn't when I was that age!) Children are so capable when entrusted and relied upon. I hope our girls embody many of Agnes' characteristics one day. She is brave and capable.
