High Tide

They closed the pier yesterday and today, we went to the beach at high tide and it was easy to see why. The sea was right up at the pier and completely covering the groynes on the beach - it was amazing to watch, lots of people about, all with cameras! More here

I needed to leave the house today, five days of torrential weather finally took its toll. After some precision hoovering of the stairs and upstairs we went to the beach, hobby craft and the garden centre. That seemed to be all I needed to then be happy to be at home again.

Made some Oreo ice cream to make the children remember how much they love me, had a lovely coffee and chat with Kardimomma. I had to give her a lift home as she was weighed down with piles of crap rescued from the charity shop pile things I thoughtfully thought she might like. I am an excellent friend.
