Mojitos, raw chicken and hot dogs

Family wanted to go to gatorland today. Hmmmmmm, still not sure how I feel about it. I put up the Sea World blackfish thing last week and said that I was conflicted about it - I say this because I believe they sea world are doing research and education that is extremely valuable. CAM and seeing Winter the dolphin last week was motivational and they are rehabilitating animal and people's spirits.
But Gatorland ugh - I struggled to find the good in it as I watched a "show" where an employee repeatedly stuck his fingers in an alligators eye. It never really got better from there as people poured into the cafeteria to buy nachos for themselves and hotdogs to feed any of the gators except those in the next show: gator jumping. This is where they put raw chicken parts on a line above the water and see which gators jump up to eat it first. I could hardly breath near the end and was thankful the place we chose for lunch had premium mojitos.
Sigh I feel guilty about going , and worse because I liked it - I really liked seeing the alligators swimming around so close. ?! Well, I'm gonna sleep on it and see how I feel about it in the am
