With a dry weather slot of 3 hours this morning (as forecast) we didn't want to waste time driving too far for a walk. Agreed on Thirlmere as there are several 2+ hour circular walks.

We had just parked the car when the rain started and after 10 minutes of walking I (the wimp) suggested going back and driving to Keswick. Good decision as it was dry there. The lake was higher than I expected and I got a few photos. The geese seemed to be happy with the extra water.

Carrot cakes in the oven and chicken and mushroom pie to make now. Diet might start tomorrow!
