Flood planes

Looks like our new flood defences are doing their job.

Monkey thoroughly enjoyed his paddle and I was glad it washed off the clay mud from our walk.

Fingers crossed our new flood pools keep the water at bay from the surrounding houses. Having lived in a mill house we know how worrying it is to sit and watch the water rise.

Going to do something incredibly house wifey and boring now and bake my first ever lemon drizzle cake on the stove. Seeing as I have all these lemons left over from all the gin I was unable to drink at Christmas.

Followed by something equally childish by eating the lot..... Hhhhmmmm better make two or three!!!
