Learning to read

I remember being amazed at how quickly R learned to read when he started school. Any frustration with not knowing a word was overtaken by intrigue and excitement.
Now I is at school, it's time for her to learn to read, write, spell, and understand. She loves school and homework. Watching the two of them together shows up the huge amount R has achieved in only 2 years of learning.

Tonight a really cool thing happened in our house. At bedtime, R helped I read her homework book, then he read his school story to her!

I get the feeling it won't be long until R is teaching us the 'things we have forgotten' from the school curriculum.
