This was taken on a trip on the Staten Island Ferry - which, as my brother noted on Facebook - is the only bargain in New York. Home now and backblipping and gently caressing my bank account back to life. But aside from the work aspects (which were also very good) it's been a fantastic short break which was - miraculously - almost entirely unimpeded by the weather (just a bit of annoyance on icy streets on Sunday morning and some rain on Monday morning before it brightened up for the ferry trip). On the contrary, the variety of weather we experienced actually enhanced the whole experience.
