blue sky

At last a bit of blue up there.

I went for a swim (in a swimming pool) this morning. It was the first time for ages and I was pleased to complete half a mile. Then a walk from Elterwater village to the lake of the same name. I had hoped to photograph a bit of blue sky over the Langdale Pikes but it was grey in that direction.

As soon as I reached the lakeshore these swans came over from a long way off. They probably thought I had food. I'm normally very wary of swans but these two stayed in the water while I sat on a rock and photographed. I got three good shots - it was tricky to decide which to blip.

Glad I went out early. The rain returned this afternoon.
