If you haven't got a lens long enough for your average bluetit or chaffinch what you need at your seed feeder is a pheasant.

We went to the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss for a guided walk which implied you would see a bittern. No bitterns today but there were many other birds including hen harriers, long tail tits, a nuthatch and pheasants.

The lady leading the walk said that in the 20 years she has been a volunteer there, she has never, until this very moment, seen a pheasant at a seed feeder.
