Memory Man

If yesterday was quiet then today was positively lethargic. Breakfast, read of the papers, a bit of work, then we set out to buy a new mattress, a Memory 1500 Deluxe, no less.

A Memory Foam mattress as used by astronauts, although I prefer the term cosmonauts.

Isn't technology wonderful. One decade it's used to get a man to space and the next it's covering my bed. It's like Teflon for lazy people.

After that, it was stroll along the beach and home for a late lunch.

Things I learned today, aside from foam mattress facts.

Did you know that the Alaskan salmon fishery caught over 171 million fish last year. No wonder they have so many bears.

A small carton of Double Cream, 280 ml., has over 1000 calories. Now they tell me!

Isn't the interweb wonderful.



**** Last night we watched The Sting, made in 1973 winner of 7 Oscars. Just terrible. Why did we ever think it was any good?
