Snapshot of my evening: proper preparation prevent

So 'proper preparation prevents piss poor performance' is a favourite mantra of my dad's albeit one he doesn't follow himself! I'm in the process of decorating various rooms in my house and it's the kitchen's turn tomorrow so as I do follow his advice I have spent my evening clearing work surfaces and masking taping edging.
