Tools of independence

Another desperate blip as have been busy decorating again but it's because of this that I chose to quickly take a pic of my screwdriver.
For my 18th birthday my parents gave me a black and pink tool kit-weird choice for a significant birthday? Maybe but 6 years on it is much more to me than just a tool kit. My parents taught me to be independent and have the confidence to give things a go.
My friends find my willingness to board up my garage/hang wallpaper/take things apart amusing and and a little bizarre but I love that my parents have allowed me to believe that I at least have the ability to try these things. Even if it does mean that a male friend told me I'd make someone a lovely husband one day...
