Popular Pier

This little beach community, Cayucos, is proud of its pier. Currently it is in desperate need of restoration.

So the county closed it with a fence and gate. Then the citizens started raising the enormous amount of necessary funding. Now the workers have started the repairs.

After stopping at the library this afternoon, we drove the short distance to the shore, I stepped out of the car, lifted my phone into the bright sunlight, and captured this scene.
