...to destroy all you've cut...
I was out today volunteering with the Cumbria Butterfly Conservation group near Witherslack, cutting back thick swathes of hazel and holly to open up a ride linking two bridleways to provide a bigger and better habitat.
While some of the larger tree trunks can be used on the estate or for habitat piles, much of the brash is best burned to get rid of it and to warm up the workers and their soup.
