The Bittersweet Goodbye

Today was the last day of our fabulous Maldive vacation. We enjoyed two wonderful weeks of fun in the sun and under the sea. As we packed our scuba gear and said our goodbyes, the four diving instructors and 3-member boat crew joined us on the roof-top deck of our dhoni for a group picture.

Afterwards, one of my daughters decided to leap, fully-clothed, off the boat roof into the lagoon about 3 meters below. This set off a string of everyone in my family making the long jump into the water, including my 70-year old in-laws, but excluding me - I was happily hiding behind my camera :)
