Hardy lobelia?
It's well seen this winter has been pretty mild here - so far! Lots of rain and wind and gray days, but not many hard frosts or snow, otherwise these pretty little flashes of blue outside my front door would be long gone.
It's been an odd sort of day. I've a funeral tomorrow and on Friday, so have had to rearrange my week to accommodate these. One is in Bannockburn which will allow me a day or so with my mum, the other is in Perth, which is at least en route to her. I've noticed over the years that January is often the time that the oldies succumb. These two folk have a combined age of 180, so have had long fulfilled lives, but that doesn't make the loss any easier for their families. As another friend so eloquently put it "yer da is yer da."
On a more cheerful note, hubby and I face-timed our good friend Jenni tonight and began to firm up our plans for a trip to New York in April. We've not been before and are looking forward to it, both the sight-seeing, but also the opportunity to catch up with Jenni's son, my godson, the singer-songwriter, Greg Holden. Have a listen to his work. He is awesome!
