Another new skill

What a beautiful day it was with lovely blue skies and no rain. Was I out and about taking great photos? No I was at home learning yet another new skill - using a sewing machine.

Santa had brought new curling trousers for my husband and so at the last minute I needed to take 5cm off the bottom of them. I have used a sewing machine before, but not this one, which is one my daughter gave to me when she updated hers.

The task took me most of the day as I couldn't get the tension correct and the thread kept breaking - but completed the task shortly before going to the curling. Alas the thread fell out of the hem of the trousers and ended up all over the ice. Most embarrassing!. My daughter is calling in tomorrow to give me instructions.

I also got a new phone today and used it for this blip and managed to post - but still lots of new things to learn about the phone. I don't know if I can cope.
