Focus
It's important in photography, and it's also important in the rest of life. As I wrote in my blip on Sunday, I've committed… to spend more time in motion, which means less time on my computer -- which means not necessarily blipping every day.
Today I decided to add another exercise class at the Y, Ageless Fitness, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. It's taught by the same wonderful instructor as the Silver Sneakers Circuit class I've returned to on Monday and Friday mornings -- and today as well, as my yoga class doesn't start up again until next week.
This morning our instructor told us about one of her students in Ageless Fitness, a 97-year-old woman who had hip replacement surgery recently and after just five weeks, returned to her exercise class. That really impressed me!
I have a lifetime of inactivity to overcome, and being more active is what I need, and want, to focus on now. To do this, I'll have to spend fewer hours each day on the activities I've found rewarding, appealing, and exceedingly pleasant for years -- reading, writing, editing, researching, and photography.
This sounds like a pep talk to myself, and it is, but I also wanted those who follow my journal here to know why I won't be on Blipfoto as much, or commenting as often for awhile.
(This view is from a window in the large room where Ageless Fitness is taught. The banner seemed very appropriate!)
