Another View of Sunrise
It was another cold morning, and I shudder to say this, but the 5 degrees F (-15 C) felt quite a bit warmer than yesterday's -10 F. I wouldn't say it was balmy, though. No, I wouldn't go quite that far.
I was getting ready for work when I saw a huge bank of dark clouds from a window, and I imagined what it might look like when the sun set it on fire. And I thought that if I hurried, I might catch a few shots of sunrise on my drive.
And so that is what I did. I found a place to pull over on one of my favorite rural roads and watched as the dark cloud turned purple, then pink, then faded to gray. And when the show was over, I went along my merry way . . .
You've seen this tree line a few times before, perhaps most recently here. It's along Sawmill Road, as it seems that that is the point I reach in my journey at about the time the sun rises in the morning. I'd call that pretty convenient timing, but you know what a temptation it is for a girl like me. I can never resist stopping to watch a sunrise, the greatest show on Earth!
The song to accompany this cold sunrise: the Eagles, with Tequila Sunrise.
