Stratford

Sewing is my hobby of choice! I got this 99k Singer so my children could have a go at sewing without having to worry about the speed of the needle!

I found a lovely man from Stroud who collects and restores old sewing machines. His house was full to the brim with, literally, hundreds of machines spread out over several floors. He let me buy this one from him and I have named it Stratford!

There is something very special about these machines. Even down to the smell of the wood every time it's taken out of its case to be used. I will never part with this little thing and I hope it stays in our family for many years.
