Spitalfields and Whitechapel
A stroll down Brick Lane and around about Spitalfields and Whitechapel, taking in Christ Church, the Whitechapel Gallery, and the bell foundry, and home through the market, where it was antiques day.
I was pleased to find Christ Church open and to see inside, the 1735 Bridge organ is still being restored, but what a sight. At the Gallery there's a great installation by Kader Attia, the Continuum of Repair: Jacob's Ladder. At the antique market the prices were too scandalous for me! and I came away empty handed. But the Huguenot houses in Fournier st and Princelet st and around kept me busy and it was hard to choose a pic for today
