Busy day being a tourist on a guided walk through the Jewish history of Whitechapel, which took in Spitalfields too. The history hidden in street names and quiet corners! In evening on similar ground but in a different way, ringing at St Botolph's Without, at Aldgate, a fine heavy ring. Home on the tube very late and the rather dreary street looked suddenly beautiful in the dark and rain. Maybe it was just the cider...
