So, credit where credit's due: the Kirkby Lonsdale Christmas tree went up on December the 1st, despite it being a Sunday. Excellent effort.

But also, let's not turn a blind eye to seasonal misdemeanours: by anyone's calendar, Christmas is done and dusted by January.
