Roses for Eleanor Hall's 98th Birthday
I was sure she would prefer I blip her roses rather than her photo though she is looking good for this monumental birthday. She is 98 years today and we had a lovely day taking her out for a drive down to Bird Key in Sarasota taking in the sites and going to clip a beautiful bouquet of roses from my dear friends John-Norman and Marcia Tuck's garden. They have a beautiful home on Bird Key in Sarasota and John-Norman is a rose grower extraordinaire. He lived for many years in Santa Barbara, CA where roses are happier, but he has managed to grow many beautiful roses with exotic names and scents in sunny Sarasota, Florida, USA. When I talked to Marcia she said feel free to come down and help yourself, so I did. It really made Eleanor's day special and I thank them both for that. And to Eleanor, "Here's looking at you, kid!" Happy, happy birthday!
