Day at Taipei zoo
Well it was another early rise and it was off to the zoo early. The zoo is on the outside of Taipei but is easily accessible with the amazing public transport. It was absolutely "pishing it doon" to say the least and reminded us of home. We had a bit of a chat and I think it was agreed we don't want to go back.
The zoo was only £1.20 each and it's the biggest zoo in Asia. There were loads of animals including zebras, kangaroo, hippo's, lions, tigers, monkeys(including one that escaped), bears, insects, elephants, giraffes, and from the photo, a new panda.
After the zoo, we went on a cable car ride which was wasted due to the bad weather. I really think this would have been an amazing day out if it had not been for the weather, but it was still really good.
The BEST news came later on when Alison checked her emails and found out she's going to be a poster girl!!! Yeah you heard it here first, she will be featuring on 48 inch posters around Scotland for the world famous "Kilt Walk". To say she is hyper is an understatement and she has already asked me several times today, how does it feel to be married to someone famous. LOL. We were asked to the Burns ball hosted by the company, but sadly had to decline as we are obviously out of the country and said we would attend next year.
So in the evening, Alison was replying to fan mail while I went out to sample more local cuisine at the market. I just had some more pork dumplings then it was bed time at 9.
