Camouflage

This starling landed on the tree and at first I was not sure what it was as it blended into the tree reasonably well. The red cup it is eying up contains bird seed and is really meant for the small birds but that does not deter them landing on the cup and helping themselves to the content. The cup is on a one metre spike and with their weight the whole lot starts to lean over – at about 45 degrees they abort.
