The village cricket pitch

I was greeted with this view early this morning. There was a heavy frost and a layer of mist about 3 feet off the ground. The sun was shinning brightly causing steam to rise off fences etc. It was beautiful!
The structure in the middle is some sort of shelter but it put me in mind of one of those old wagons you see in western films. I wish I had taken the photo a second later so that the figure appeared to be striding in front of it.
Today was the first morning this winter that the temp guage in the car has shown a minus figure on the school run. A sign of things to come?
