ER... What was that?

After waking up with another swollen and blistered bite, I took Grandma back to the doctors, where she was promptly referred to the Emergency Room. Several hours and several bewildered doctors later she was given an IV antibiotic drip (which seems to have been a success). The cause of the infection is still unknown but swabs were sent to the lab for tests. There's a suspicion she may have been bitten by a White Back spider.

In slightly more positive news, because the UK and Australia share reciprocal treatment, Grandma didn't have to pay a penny for treatment. What a relief!

Meanwhile the wee man enjoyed a day at home, with a steady stream of Nikki's friends dropping by for chats.
