introducing dave on cello

went to see long walk to freedom today which was great, very emotional. idris elba and naomie harris are both very good in it, I cried throughout. next on the list of films to see is 12 years a slave - that's the thing about seeing all the nominated films, they're quite often very emotional, harrowing and serious. I might have to watch some steve martin dvds in between trips to the cinema...

had friends round later for a drink, a heated debate on the referendum then playing the cello and chatting til far too late...
