Songs of the Humpback Whale

I'm not a total bookworm and have to be "in the mood" to read. Maybe it is because I read so many kids stories at work and wonder where all the pictures are to go with the text!

Anywhow whatever it is while out getting my lunch today I spotted this book by Jodi Picoult on offer and decided to get it. I love her books and have a tendency to stick to the same author when I find one I really enjoy.

Here is the synopsis:

Songs of the Humpback Whale is a powerful and sensitive novel of family life that questions how songs are passed down from male speaker to male speaker, but also examines the female tradition of listening that women unconsciously pass on to their daughters.
