Preah Vihear Temple

Today we visited Preah Vihear temple on the border between Cambodia and Thailand. Built in the Pre-Angkorian era and situated high on the cliffs, it is a spectacular site. We last visited here in Jan 2011 with Berry's parents. It has been the site of a border dispute with neighbouring Thailand, and when we were last here hostilities were rife and there were solidiers and weaponry everywhere. This time, there were still soldiers but far fewer and no visible arms.
