Sleeping Giants
Another beautiful morning quickly turned grey. Grey grey everywhere. So my plan to get up and out up the downs with the munchkins went a bit array.
However, today's Blip, was taken while out running late afternoon. I've been wanting to capture this scene for months, but timing and weather hasn't been kind to me. So no doubt this will make more appearances when I can take a better image with my SLR in better conditions.
Landfill sites are Britain's hidden man made landscapes. Whether your for them or not, their expanding, curves, mounds and attempt to blend in when filled make compelling viewing if you see the process on a regular basis, as I do. This site, is on one of my running routes, and has steadily grown, and grown to in my opinion unacceptable levels. So, here we have what I call the sleeping giants, dormant on a Sunday, before they wake up early tomorrow and begin their assault on our green pastures yet again.
Sundays are when I do my long runs and this afternoon had a good multi terrain 9 mile run. Total mileage this week only 19, which although is behind my target training, I am pleased with due to festive setbacks.
Mr C still away, no Northern Lights captured yet...maybe next time.
