Bus Stop
Today's Blip should of been of Mr C kayaking on the canal...however, after dragging munchkin no 2 through seriously slippy deep mud on the towpath to a suitable spot, I assumed the position, camera at the ready, test shot.....what! "No memory card" arghhhhh. Note to oneself, when in haste, while removing memory card from desktop, ensure said memory card actually accompanies you on outing! However, I did enjoying sheltering under a canal bridge for 15 minutes while the heavens opened entertaining a two year old with the various sounds different sized stones can make when entering the water at speed.
So today's image was taken with my new phone later after picking my son up from after school club, in the pouring rain. It's of a rather nice bus stop that sits opposite his school on the main road. It was completed in 2001 as part of the villages Millennium project, with funds raised by local residents. Beneath, which you can just make out is a cupped stone, based on the nearby Avebury monolithic circle. To this date I have never actually seen a bus stopping there, but it is rather pleasant to look at.
