Winter Palm Trees

As the ferry across Loch Fyne was off with technical problems I had to drive round to Tarbert today for the monthly SNP Constituency meeting.

Passing Crarae Gardens I suddenly noticed the palm trees by the road. They have been there for a long time but I think some of the surrounding vegetation has recently been cleared, making the palms more noticeable.

On the way back late this afternoon I stopped to blip them, with a touch of snow showing on the hills across the loch . There was much more snow visible on the moutnains further north and west.
