Fetch the iron, Audrey

At the end of the last century, our church craft group decided to make a banner.
We didn't have a particular theme in mind, so the members were invited to come up with ideas.
Wonderful designs appeared on selection night - some ladies had made beautiful coloured sketches or paintings of theirs, others had lovingly crafted a miniature example of the finished banner.
Was I Mrs. Smug when the design I scribbled on the back of a postcard two minutes before the meeting was voted the best.
We made a mistake with the material though, it's made of silk and like Lady Di's wedding dress, it sure shows the creases. Even though it hangs quite high up on the wall, I think it's a bit of an eyesore, but nobody else seems to mind.
