Chelsea and Crazy Steve

Some of my favorite people in the world are my friends I've made at Lucas Boatworks. It is hard to describe the type of people they are, but the best word that comes to mind is REAL. They are genuine. They mean what they say, and say what they mean. They are kind and generous, but never ever insincere.

Today I hopped on the Helen Marie with Dave Lucas for a ride down the Braden River. Crazy Steve (all of us have nicknames at the boat shop, all for our own reasons), grabbed his dogs, and his boat - the Chelsea. Off we went up the river.

I love this photo for so many reasons. Of course because it captures time spent with great friends. But also because to me this signifies the best of Florida, the water, the sun, palm trees - this is what I grew up with! The boat is simply beautiful. I love the reflection in the water. I know I can look at this photo years from now and remember this day - the sun, the water, the blue sky, the people and the dogs. Doesn't get much better than that!
