Stranded

It's a fantastically sunny day today. It is still pretty cool, so the ground isn't drying out much. But Smokey has chosen today to get her wandering boots on. She decided that she would follow Gail up the 'drive' when she went to check the car for post. Gail made it all the way there and back, but Smokey got a little sidetracked. With no-one to follow, she had to choose her own return route back home. I was hoping for one of her regular blind dashes that are generally hysterical to witness. But she had her sensible head on and picked a way between the puddles instead of charging through the deepest. She can be a disappointment at times.
