Google

So, todays blip begins with Google. An impressive tool on tinternet. You can find almost anything on google.

Todays find came from my Teenage sons Geography lesson! I can see you all wondering what the Prime Minister in 1973 has to do with Geography. Well I'll tell you.

"Today mum we learnt about the EU in Geography".

" Oh that sounds interesting did you learn about windmills?" I replied

"No, but did you know we joined the EU in 1973" he informed me.

"No I didn't know that" I told him.

He then asked who was the Prime Minister in 1973. Although I didn't know who it was I had a few names in my head, I knew it wasn't Margaret, John or Tony but I got a very vivid recollection of watching the results of an election with my dear Grandmother and her saying "That's Ted Eeth". This was obviously when we were younger and the fire was raoring with her prodded rug that she made in front of the hearth. The house was warm and I didn't know my Grandmothers political pursuassion but Ted Eeth looked very happy.

So fond memories aside I decided to Google and see who was Prime Minister in 1973. What a surprise to see it was Ted Eeth'

Now whether Ted Eeth had anything to do with the EU or not and if we joined the EU in 1973 I cannot confirm but if my son has learnt this in Geography I am assuming he is right.

Maybe I'll just go and google EU.
