Lungs of the Earth

Not a good day.

Do you ever have one of those days where nothing seems to go right, you get nothing done, and you end up verbally attacking and sniping at everyone close to you? Nasty.

Yep. One of those days. Truly I can be a right grumpy git at times. I won't bore you with the details. Let's hope I get some sleep tonight and that tomorrow is better.

Anyway, there's a tree on one of my regular walks with George that always reminded me of something... and today I figured it out, so I took a photo. Put the picture on its side and what does it look like? The arterial system going into a human lung... well, I think so anyway.

That's kind of appropriate given one of the functions of trees - they breathe in CO2 and breathe out O2. Cunning, very cunning indeed. One would think that we would want to protect things that do cunning clever things like that... after all, our long term survival probably depends on them...

Wow, that was a bit tree-huggy!
