Millie the Permanently Surprised Cat

I honestly do not intend to fill my entire Blipfoto year with pictures of animals, but hey, they are important to us - they are great company, and sometimes they just make you laugh for no apparent reason at all, which is a pretty good skill to have.

Those who know will know that the relationship you have with a cat is completely different to the one that you have with a dog. You are related to by the cat because it gracefully decides to bestow upon you the benefits and magnificence of its presence. It may decide one day to treat you with great love - and the next day with utter disdain. It may curl up on you with a display of great love and affection one day, and the next day hardly recognise you exist. Be grateful for any scraps of recognition from its lofty position above you in the food-chain.

This is Millie, a rescue cat, and what I love about her is her permanent look of surprise - those wide open eyes are not just for the camera, that's how she looks all the time! She's hilarious!

There's nothing better when you're feeling glum than to watch a kitten at play. Complete unabashed uncomplicated fun and joy bouncing around your house. Wonderful.
