Driving the Autobahn

The visit with our Germany family was complete and it was now time to return home. But first a drive on the autobahn to Frankfurt. My brother drove and loved every minute of the freedom of having no federally mandated speed limit. (Limits are posted and enforced in urban areas, construction areas or in poor weather conditions.) Germany's autobahn network has a total length of about 12,845 kilometers, one of the longest systems in the world.

I did see the speedometer touch 200 km/hour at one point. I do believe my brother would have preferred a faster vehicle, but then where would my sister and I have put our luggage?!
