The troublesome woman who wanted her own way

I know this is a rubbish Blip but I wanted to capture a photo from today as today I met Gwen Rankin. Gwen Rankin was a founding member of the NCT (National Childbirth Trust) back in 1956. She recently spoke on Woman's Hour & you can see an article here.

Simply it was down to her & a group of other like minded women that we have the antenatal education that we do in the UK.

She is a truly remarkable woman, now in her 80's. She told us tales from how the NCT started and all about her amazing life. She thanked us for what we are doing training to be Antenatal Teachers & said we are the future of the NCT. She was truly inspiring.....

This Blip is a sneaky photo of the floor - we don't normally have rugs, candles & grape lights at tutorials but we were visiting another group!! I was a little bit tempted to ask Gwen to pose with a Playmobil person but felt it was not appropriate!

The title is because that's what a matron on a maternity ward said she was!
